Valentine’s Day seemed like an appropriate time to post out a shout to my glass blower friend, Angelo. Yes, Angelo Ambrosia is the real name of the artist of Ambrosia Glass Art. That aside he looks like a biker. He and several other glass artists were asked to participate in ARTMA 2020, an annual charity auction, benefiting childhood cancer research. Patients at the Children’s Hospital in Denver were encouraged to describe an imaginary creature, that helped them fight their disease and then draw a picture of that entity. Glass artists then recreated the creatures in glass. Angelo chose two. One was the Dragon Pig, who came to the young boy to help him fight.

Angelo was kind enough to let me help by creating the steel stands to hold his glass art, which is a very close 3D rendering of the pictures these children drew. Love and kind thoughts to everyone. I’ll touch on some of the other ways Angelo and I work together later.
